Authority PressWire FAQ

[su_spoiler title=”How long does it take to get a News Release syndicated on Authority PressWire?” class=”training-faq”]

News Releases are reviewed by our Editor within 24 hours on Mondays through Fridays, excluding holidays. If the release is rejected you will be notified of the needed revisions.

Once the release is approved by our Editors, it will be sent for syndication. If it is approved by our syndication partner, it will be distributed and a distribution report will be ready within 24-36 hours. If it is rejected by our syndication partner, it will be returned to you for revisions and you will need to re-submit.

The entire process may take 72 hours.

[su_spoiler title=”How long will my News Release be available online?” class=”training-faq”]

There are no guarantees as to how long your release will be available on any specific media site in our distribution network.

We’ve found that releases are generally available for at least 30 days, and 60 days to a year is not unusual, however, each news aggregator sets its own schedule for purging releases from their system. Your release will remain on AuthorityPressWire.com indefinitely.

[su_spoiler title=”Why doesn’t my image appear on all of the sites in the distribution report?” class=”training-faq”]

This is not a rejection of your individual image. Some news aggregators opt not to publish any images through their system.

[su_spoiler title=”Why doesn’t my distribution report include every site that has published my release?” class=”training-faq”]

Many websites republish our news directly from our RSS feeds as well as the sites in our distribution network. Only the media outlets that participate in our tracking system are included in the report.

[su_spoiler title=”Can I display media logos on my web site once after the release is published by the media site?” class=”training-faq”]

Each media outlet has it’s own terms of service regarding usage of trademarks and images, including logos. While it is a common practice to use media outlet logos with statements like “as seen on” “as quoted on” etc, since we don’t hold the rights to the images, we are not authorized to grant permission to use the actual logo images on your site or in your marketing.

[su_spoiler title=”What is Direct Address?” class=”training-faq”]

Direct Address is speaking directly to the audience.  For example, “We like to help customers just like you.” News Releases should be written in third person – unless it is a quote from an actual person. Never say things such as “We did this” or “I think that” within the body of a news release. Imagine that someone else is telling the story at all times.

[su_spoiler title=”I submitted a News Release and it was listed on my Dashboard as ‘Pending Approval’ (or ‘Published’) and now it is listed as ‘Offline.'” class=”training-faq”]

The News Release was rejected because it either did not meet the requirements of the Submission Guidelines or there is an error on the release that the Editor is unsure how to correct. Check your email for a message from the Editor’s Desk with the details.
