The eBook cover that you create will appear on the Amazon detail page for your book. Ensure you have permissions to use any content you include on your cover, including text and images.

File types

• JPEG (.jpg/.jpeg)
• TIFF (.tif/.tiff)

Cover Dimensions

• Your cover should have a height/width ratio of 1.6:1.
• The ideal dimensions for your cover should be 2,560 x 1,600 pixels.
• The minimum dimensions are 1,000 x 625 pixels.
• The maximum dimensions are 10,000 x 10,000 pixels

File Size

• Cover files should be less than 50MB
• Images should have a minimum resolution of 300 PPI (pixels per inch)

Color

• Amazon displays covers on their website using RGB (red, green, blue) color mode.
• Save your file as RGB (not CMYK or SRGB) – you will see this option in the File – Save dialog box of image editing software like Photoshop
