The Trim Size is the final size of your book after it is printed, bound. For example, a trim size of 6×9 means the printed book will be six inches wide and nine inches tall.

Industry Standard and Custom Trim Sizes

1. Industry standard trim sizes can be sold on Amazon.com and are eligible for all distribution outlets within the Expanded Distribution Channel (EDC).
2. Paperbacks with white paper must have an industry standard trim size (See below). Books with cream paper must have one of the following trim sizes:
   5 x 8
   5.25 x 8
   5.5 x 8.5
   6 x 9
3. Custom trim sizes can be sold on Amazon.com, but are ineligible for the Bookstores and Online Retailers distribution outlet within the EDC.
4. The default trim size for a KDP book is 6×9

In KDP, you will set the Trim Size of your book under Print Options in the Paperback Content section.
